CASE STUDY

When traveling out for the weekend, I often use AllTrails as a guide to finding a new trail or adventure. One day I craved an app that had similar functionality, but with curated images and a strong focus for the community to share a single spectacular image.

“The mountains are calling, and I must go”

SOLUTION

Using quality photography and content-driven layouts, the audience attraction is targeting young, amateur photographers who like to take a moment for capturing and sharing their weekend adventures. The goals are to be a source of inspiration for where to travel next, and to share your adventures with a common community.

WEB DESIGN

A simplistic layout is implemented to draw focus on images and create an almost invisible design behind the content. Spacing between elements is kept consistent as to not draw attention.

STYLE GUIDE

Colors are minimal: black, white, and a touch of purple to communicate a sense of pride and quality. Helvetica is used for the only typeface because it is described as the invisible typeface. Different weights are used to show hierarchy.
