Christa wanted a website that was clean, minimal and had a strong emphasis on imagery while reflecting being professional. A few sites that she liked were themed by Semplice. Rather than purchasing the theme, her site was designed with the same standards and creatives while retaining a custom and intuitive back-office.
Rory was able to organize my portfolio and create a sleek, minimalistic website that allows my artwork to speak for itself.
The site was designed minimally, with imagery being the focus. The site had to be fast, responsive and include an about and contact section. Simple was the key to the design.
Featuring only a masonry gallery on the front page with a simple navigation draws attention to the paintings and drawings.”Christa Prentiss” is vertically aligned and fixed to the screen to bring a dynamic touch.
Pastel peach and teal compliment the artwork and are Christa’s favorite colors. Montserrat is the main typeface as it brings a clean, geometric sans serif.
I love creating artwork but I struggle with how to take a physical piece and display it successfully online. Not only is the site easy for visitors to navigate, but it has been similarly easy for me to continue to update my gallery on the back-end. Rory took the stress out of a project that I had been avoiding for a long time!
